A modern, multilingual hub for UN Tourism
Overview
UN Tourism - a specialized United Nations agency - commissioned a website redesign and long-term maintenance. We delivered a faster, more accessible, multilingual Drupal platform with improved IA/menus, search, events, analytics, and governance, then established bi-weekly reviews and monthly reports.

Behind the Project
UN Tourism (formerly UNWTO) is the UN agency leading responsible, sustainable and universally accessible tourism - serving 160+ member countries and 500+ affiliates. The web portal is a primary channel for knowledge, policy and stakeholder communication, so the redesign prioritized clarity, inclusivity and resilience.• Conduct full UX & SEO audit; restructure menus and create intermediate sub-homes
• Launch a dedicated Regional Office (Middle East) section with its own menu
• Make the site more dynamic with new templates and visual components
• Improve SEO (structured data), site speed, and implement Google Tag Manager
• Meet W3C standards; improve accessibility across languages
• Strengthen Arabic and Chinese display; enhance search (including tourism terms DB)
• Design editor workflows and restrict permissions; harden cybersecurity and monitoring
• Enhance Events: calendar + fields for TBC dates, venue, audience, and attendance type
